Emma At 4 Months Old

Holy cow - Emma is four months old today! I can hardly believe she is already four months old. It doesn't seem that long ago I was in the hospital getting ready for the c-section. It is incredible how time flies - next week I will be back at work, which I am very sad about. However, I am very thankful that I have had these four months off - I have been able to bond with Emma and enjoy every moment with her.

Serious Emma

Emma went to the doctor's today for her four month checkup. She is doing great - and handled the 4 shots like a pro! She now is 26 inches long (in the 95th percentile) and weighs 14 pounds 2.5 ounces (in the 75th percentile). She showed off her new trick the entire time - grabbing for her feet! As you can see, she clearly has discovered that she has some more body parts that can fit in her mouth!
On Sunday March 22, 2009 Emma was baptized at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Warminster. She was the most beautiful baby there - if I do say so myself! She was a little fussy but loved the water part! Emma loved her dress - especially eating her dress! Hard To Believe..

It's hard to believe that a year ago Thursday 3/12 - I discovered that I was pregnant with Emma. And boy have our lives changed so much since that March 12, 2008. I remember how excited I was that I was pregnant - and Bryan was away on a business trip in Arizona - so I had to wait a few days to tell anyone. I was bursting at the seams - I wanted to shout it out from the top of a mountain!

I loved being pregnant! And what a pay off at the end - a beautiful baby girl! Just what I had been hoping for.

Emma got all dressed up for today's holiday and we decided to take some pictures. However as soon as she sees the camera, she becomes a very serious baby. It's difficult to get a smile out of her!Emma Trying Out For Girls Gone Wild!

Emma went to her first hockey game last night - Phantoms vs Admirals. The Phantoms won! And Emma was a champ - she even slept for a while. We took a picture of her - sleeping through the noises and the horn when the Phantoms scored. Next week the big test - Flyers game!

Melts My Heart

Two nights ago I had a craving for some Starbucks Hot Chocolate. So I left Emma sitting comfortably with her Daddy and I went to get some hot chocolate. When I got home, she was sitting on his lap, watching TV- probably hockey - she loves hockey! And when she saw me, she started cooing- or I call it talking. It was so adorable - it's like she was saying "Hi Mommy! I missed you!". I love that she can recognize me from across the room and smile - the best feeling in the whole wide world washes over me.

Emma's New Drink of Choice

Emma has always enjoyed her milk and now she also is in love with a new beverage. I swear this picture is not staged. That's what those hands are for! She must see her reflection on the can - she just reached out for it and grabbed it.

Emma is also interested in playing a new game - how many fingers can I get in my mouth at once? This video started out with Emma playing with a block - but clearly she was interested in something else!

Emma - Three Months Old

It's hard to believe that on Feb 25th Emma turned three months old! She has gotten so big these days - I can barely remember what it was like when she was a newborn. Emma is still chatting up anyone and everything - it's so cute. She is also quite interested in sitting up these days. And it looks like she may just figure out how to get those fingers in her mouth and keep them there.
