Baby's First Halloween Costume

Bryan and I decided that the baby needed to dress up for Halloween - and the perfect costume of course was a jack-o-lantern! Here's the baby and I all dressed up for Halloween with me at 36 weeks and 5 days. Daddy was the artist - we think he did an excellent job.

Also happening this week: my teacher friends threw me a baby shower at school on Wednesday. I was very surprised - I thought for weeks that I was going to work on writing the midterm! Even better - some of my students found out about it and were able to keep it a secret all day. Today when I went in, they all were excited to ask me how it went. Bryan's work also gave him a shower present at their monthly birthday celebration. This baby is already so spoiled!

At our weekly doctor's appointment - I asked the doctor how big she thinks the baby is currently and what size we are looking at in a few weeks - she estimates that right now the baby is 6 lbs and we are looking forward to delivering an 8 lb baby!! We are working on putting together the baby's room with Grandma's help - as soon as that is finished, we will post nursery pictures.

Pumpkin patch pic

Here I am at 34 weeks. By the way, it was taken a week ago. So that means I am 35 weeks as of this posting! We had a great time at Fall Fest at the Farmer's Daughter Farm Market. While picking pumpkins we had time to take a few pictures. I am not sure which is bigger at this point, the pumpkins or my belly!

Another surprise shower!

On Saturday, October 4 we had a baby shower. I thought that Bryan was taking me out for our 2-year anniversary. As you can see, I was very surprised with what I saw when we got to Maggiano's! We all had a lovely time. Thank you so much to everyone who attended or sent gifts. And thanks to Bryan's cousin Gina for remembering to take pictures.
