Making His/Her First Appearance...

Here are the first pictures of our baby...for the one that says my name is Christine Bryant - long story - but they asked for Christine from the waiting room I went in and who knew that there was someone else also waiting with my name! So the tech had taken a bunch of pictures with the wrong information in the computer - eventually it was all figured out - but I promise that really is our baby...

Our 7 Week Sonogram - difficult to see but the arrow is pointing to the little bean. The black is fluid on a sonogram.

The 11 Week Sonogram - now the baby is starting to look real...in one of these you can see the umbilical cord..
































And finally the Week 22 Sonogram.... The gray above the baby is the placenta. I think he/she already looks like a Roy! Bryan's co-workers think that the baby is smiling in the one picture...

Baby Milestones

We heard the heartbeat on the sonogram for the first time at 7 weeks. I cried like crazy. I cried again at our second sonogram at 11 weeks when the baby looked like an actual baby - and he/she was moving around, stretching.

I was anxiously waiting to feel the baby move - finally at 16 weeks I felt the baby move. Bryan felt the baby move much later around 24 weeks - but saw my belly "pop" when the baby kicked around 22 weeks - he cried - finally! Now the baby moves all the time and it's such a wonderful feeling. Last night Bryan was feeling the baby move and asked me "did you just do that?"

We had our "big ultrasound" at 22 weeks and it was incredible! Our little baby was moving around a lot. We decided not to find out the gender of the baby - so it will be a lovely surprise come November. My mom and step-dad were at the ultrasound - they cried - I cried - Bryan did not.

We are just so excited to meet this little baby - and now the reality is setting in! Soon we will post sonogram pictures!

Hi everyone! Bryan and I created this blog to give you updates about our very first baby, due on November 23, 2008. Check back for news and pictures. Since the baby isn't here yet, you'll have to settle for some pictures of my belly.
